Somebody once said ‘God created this after a good day of cycling’
This must be true of Plettenberg Bay. From here you have a thousand options. You name it , you can do it. From hiking, biking, canoeing, bungee jumping to experiencing wild life. You can satisfy your culinary desires and taste wine. You can touch elephants or do a canopy tour from tree to tree.
If you are a biker and a golfer….this is paradise! In and around Plett, Knysna, Mosselbay and George you have at least 14 top class golf courses.
For the water-lovers, why not go on a whale watching trip or swim with the dolphins?
Surrounds
- On our seven day tour we pass Knysna, George, Oudtshoorn. Prince Albert, Dysselsdorp and many more interesting places. On a hill next to the road in Dysselsdorp you find ‘Die Kruisberg’. A small catholic church can be reached by means of a winding footpath known as the Via Dolorosa. The path commemorates Christ’s sad journey up Calvary.
- One kilometer from Dysselsdorp you find the turnoff to the liquorice extracting plant. The liquorice plant occurs naturally along the banks of the Olifants river
- At De Rust a donkey awareness program is trying to ease the plight of the De Rust donkeys. Renovated donkey cars are used as tourist attractions for trips in the village itself and to a special picnic spot.
- The Cango caves, olive farms, ostrich farms, indigenous forests and the sea are all part of the scenery. Furthermore, we climb some of the oldest mountain passes in the country.
- Experience the wonders of the Baviaanskloof from a different angle. Enter from the south on an unknown route through farms and great beauty.
- See the sea! Smell the sea! Listen to the waves crashing on the sand.
